On Sunday, members of the National Council of Human Rights filed a complaint to the National Administration of Human Rights regarding the health conditions of Israa Abdel-Fattah. They also request to hear Israa’s testimony of the torture she was subjected to during her arrest, assuring that she will continue her hunger strike.
Israa faces charges of participating in a terrorist group, spreading false news and misusing social media platforms in case No. 488 of 2019 state security.
The security forces had arrested Israa Abdel Fattah while walking in a street in Dokki, after stopping her at the street.
Israa said in the investigations the next day that she was tortured inside National Security premises after her arrest, and announced a hunger strike until the prosecution investigate her complaint.
